The Never Ending Supply of Soap!!

 I know Halloween JUST finished and its now onto the next holiday...yup, I'm going to say it CHRISTMAS!! I could celebrate all things Christmas all year. I love it that much! I love the lights, wreaths, christmas villages, festive storefront windows, the gathering of loved ones over warm comforting meals and yes, even the snow...I LOVE snow!
The part I dislike the most about Christmas are big box stores and the dreaded trips to the mall. I am actually proud of myself I have not done a single christmas shopping trip to my local mall in 3+ years. I stick to independently owned shops and buy from local artisans, I support local at any opportunity I can. There is a extraordinary amount of talented people living amongst us creating beautiful and unique things.

 Some years I struggle to come up with unique and useful gifts. For anyone that knows me I ALWAYS give useful gifts. I hate the idea of something sitting on a shelf collecting dust. I sometimes rotate giving a useful gift to different people different years (or the same)..secrets out!

October Update!!

It has been a while since our last post. We have been busy here at Soulful Soap creating and making tons (and I mean tons) of soap!!

September came and went we had 2 very successful market events (SuperCrawl & Fall HandMade Market) We got see to a lot of our repeat customers and made lots of new ones!

The Month of October is another busy month for us. Prepping for Christmas (yes we are so so excited) and a large 3 days craft show out in Durham October 28th, 29th and 30th. (www.showsdurhamregion.com).

   On November 13th Soulful Soap hosted its 1st ever Holiday Soap Open House which was  huge success and a fantastic way to kick off this holiday season. It was a wonderful excuse to decorate for Christmas early, eat and be merry! The morning of the open house well before eager soapers made the journey out to the Soulful Soap headquarters I was surprised with  one of the most memorable surprises to date.
   I graduated from nursing school 4 years ago now and had not seen my friends since then. Three of them made the trek out from Kirkland Lake and Sudbury to surprise me the morning of the open house by hiding in my stairwell, lets just say there were lots of tears of joy and I still have to pinch myself when I think about it. Thanks ladies it was so nice to see you and catch up!

On another note, my first batches of Christmas soap (Candy Cane Sparkle and Pumpkin Spice) are all sold out but have no fear another batch of each will be ready for sale December 2nd including the 3rd and final Christmas soap, Carmel Apple Cider.
